The Beaver has been like a family member for over 35 years. Built in 1953, serial #482, C-FFRL has been pampered and nurtured by only 2 pilots with rare exception. Pilot #1 mentored #2 and both of them have treated this aircraft like it was mother. C-FFRL equipped with EDO 4580’s with total air time of 12333.6 hours. It’s Pratt & Whitney R985 has only 209.3 hours since the major overhaul by Aero Engines Inc. of Los Angeles, California. The 3-bladed Hartzell HCB3R30-4 propeller has total time SMOH 938.8.


This aircraft is tough, built to L20 military spec, equipped with weight reduced batteries (approx. 100lbs lighter) It has been operated out of Vancouver, BC, Canada and well maintained by the same mechanical crew since its total refurbishment by Kenmore Air Harbour of Seattle in 1970.
